Our carts are rated for 60-80 km on a full charge. This range is achievable under ideal conditions: fully charged batteries, moderate load (2-3 passengers), flat terrain, and steady driving at 15-20 km/h.

What Reduces Range

Terrain: Hills and inclines can reduce range by 20-30%
Load: Each additional passenger reduces range by approximately 5%
Speed: Driving at maximum speed (25 km/h) consumes more power than cruising
Temperature: Extreme heat reduces battery efficiency; cold weather affects lead-acid more than lithium
Tyre pressure: Under-inflated tyres increase rolling resistance

Lithium vs Lead-Acid Range

Lithium batteries maintain consistent voltage throughout discharge, so you get full performance until the battery is nearly empty. Lead-acid batteries show a gradual voltage drop, meaning reduced speed and power as they discharge.

Practical Guidance

For most applications — resorts, campuses, golf courses — our standard 60-80 km range is more than sufficient for a full day of operation. A hotel shuttle running 2 km loops typically covers 20-30 km in a day. For heavy-duty applications, lithium batteries with fast charging during breaks can keep carts running continuously.
